Welcome to the home page of the Meadowlands Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club. The purpose of the club is to "encourage and promote quality breeding of purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection."

superintendent. The superintendent is Rau
Dog Shows Ltd.

Once the judging program is published we
will set a time for the meeting.

Another enormously successful Health Clinic was held on April 28 at the Richboro Veterinary Hospital. A great volunteer effort made it possible, with thanks to Kelli Marshall, Courtney Carter, Anita Weiss, Kim Hauser, Mary Pat Ezzo, Dr. John Linn (whose hospital was used as a venue), Denise Mulholland, Ryan Linn, Kim Marshall, Liz White, and Liv White. And of course, thanks to all who supported the clinic by bringing their dogs to be examined!

Announcements

Any Cavalier owned or co-owned by a Member who attained any title in the following
AKC events from October 14, 2018 through October 20, 2019 will be recognized at our annual dinner on January 12, 2020 with a rosette.
Recognition will be limited to AKC titles only, in any of the following:
Conformation                           Barn Hunt
Obedience                                Scentwork
Tracking                                   Tricks
Rally                                          Agility
CGC                                           Best in Jr. Showmanship
Therapy Dog (THD)
If your Cavalier qualifies, please send the following information to Courtney Carter:
  --  Your Name
  --  Name of your Cavalier as you want it to appear on the rosette
  --  Title Earned
If you would prefer NOT to receive a rosette but would like your Cavalier to receive
recognition for any titles earned during the designated timeframe, please provide
the above information. A complete list of Cavaliers being recognized will be prepared
and read at the dinner as well as sent to the membership. Just indicate that you do not want a rosette.
INFORMATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY DECEMBER 7, 2019. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! THE ORDER WILL BE PLACED ON DECEMBER 10, 2019.

CARDIOLOGY STUDY AT RED BANK VETERINARY HOSPITAL

They are looking for dogs with murmurs who are not currently on medications for heart disease. Includes a free ECHO and a full exam and consult with the cardiologist running the study, Dr. Pesce.  More information HERE.

 

BREED HANDLING CLASSES AT PORT CHESTER OBEDIENCE TRAINING CLUB,

WHITE PLAINS, NY ON TUESDAYS AT 3:00 PM, OR WEDNESDAYS AT 8:15 PM

Instructor, Fran Hellman, certified profession dog trainer (CPDT-KA) and longtime owner-handler, incorporates positive training techniques into her breed handling instruction.  These classes are for all levels of experience.
